How Weather You ("the App") treats your personal data with care and complies with applicable
laws, including the Korean Personal Information Protection Act. This policy explains what
information the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

4. Retention and Use Period
Account info: Until you delete your account. Tapping [Delete account] in the App deletes it permanently and immediately.
Usage records (usage_log): Kept to apply the daily request limit; deleted immediately together with your account when you delete it.
Profile (optional): Kept only if you filled it in; deleted immediately with your account on deletion. You can edit or clear it anytime from the profile screen in the App.
Subscription data: Kept only if you subscribed; data held by the App and RevenueCat is deleted when you delete your account. However, Google Play's payment and transaction records are retained separately by Google as required by applicable law and cannot be deleted from the App.
Location: Not stored (used once at request time, then immediately discarded).
Local message history: Kept on your device for 7 days, then auto-deleted (bookmarked messages are kept indefinitely). Deleting your account also removes data stored on your phone.
5. Advertising
The App shows ads through Google AdMob in order to provide the service for free.
AdMob may collect and use your Advertising ID (AAID) and device info to deliver personalized ads.
Opting out of personalized ads: On your phone, go to [Settings → Google → Ads] to
"Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization."
The App is not directed to children under 14 and does not serve child-directed ads.
With an ad-free subscription, no ads are shown and the App does not request ads from AdMob for the duration of the subscription.
5-1. Subscription Payments
The App offers a monthly auto-renewing subscription that removes ads. All payments are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing.
Payment details such as card numbers are handled directly by Google; the developer has no access to them.
Purchase history and subscription status are sent to RevenueCat to validate receipts and manage subscription state.
Your subscription is linked to your signed-in account, so it remains available when you switch devices as long as you sign in with the same account.
How to cancel: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. You can also reach this screen from [Settings → Go ad-free → Manage subscription] in the App.
After cancelling, the benefit remains until the end of the period already paid for, and the subscription does not renew afterwards.
Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy and can be requested through Google Play support.
6. Your Rights
You may exercise the following rights at any time.
Access, correction, deletion: View and partially change data directly in the App's settings.
Account deletion and removal of all data: See "How to Delete Your Account" below.
Withdrawing consent: Location/notification permissions can be revoked anytime at [Settings → Apps → How Weather You] on your phone.
How to Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your account and all related data directly in the App, immediately.
Open the App → bottom [Settings] tab → tap [Delete account] at the bottom.
After two confirmations it is permanently deleted immediately (within seconds).
What is deleted: account (email/name), usage records on the server (usage_log), on-device data (messages/bookmarks/settings).
You may sign up again with the same Google account afterward, but previous data cannot be recovered.
If you cannot use the App for some reason, email tosca0318@gmail.com and we will process it within 7 days.
7. Security Measures
All communication is encrypted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
Sensitive data such as API keys is used only on the backend (Supabase Edge Functions) and never exposed in the client app.
User data is accessible only to its owner via Supabase Row Level Security (RLS).
Administrative access is limited to a minimal number of people and is logged.
8. Children Under 14
The App does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 14.
If such data is found to have been collected, it is deleted immediately.
This policy may be amended due to changes in law, policy, or security technology. Any change
will be announced in advance through the App's notices or this page.
