How Weather You ("the App") treats your personal data with care and complies with applicable laws, including the Korean Personal Information Protection Act. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. Personal Data We Collect

2. Purpose of Use

User identification and keeping you signed in
Looking up weather based on your current location
Providing weather-based messages, activity/food suggestions, and fortunes
Counting usage to apply a daily request limit (abuse-prevention cap)
Sending notifications
Showing ads, including personalized ads (Google AdMob)
Service usage statistics and quality improvement

3. Third-Party Provision and Processing

The App uses the following external services, each of which follows its own privacy policy.

4. Retention and Use Period

Account info: Until you delete your account. Tapping [Delete account] in the App deletes it permanently and immediately.
Usage records (usage_log): Kept to apply the daily request limit; deleted immediately together with your account when you delete it.
Location: Not stored (used once at request time, then immediately discarded).
Local message history: Kept on your device for 7 days, then auto-deleted (bookmarked messages are kept indefinitely). Deleting your account also removes data stored on your phone.

5. Advertising

The App shows ads through Google AdMob in order to provide the service for free.

AdMob may collect and use your Advertising ID (AAID) and device info to deliver personalized ads.

Opting out of personalized ads: On your phone, go to [Settings → Google → Ads] to "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization."
The App is not directed to children under 14 and does not serve child-directed ads.

6. Your Rights

You may exercise the following rights at any time.

Access, correction, deletion: View and partially change data directly in the App's settings.
Account deletion and removal of all data: See "How to Delete Your Account" below.
Withdrawing consent: Location/notification permissions can be revoked anytime at [Settings → Apps → How Weather You] on your phone.

How to Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your account and all related data directly in the App, immediately.

Open the App → bottom [Settings] tab → tap [Delete account] at the bottom.
After two confirmations it is permanently deleted immediately (within seconds).
What is deleted: account (email/name), usage records on the server (usage_log), on-device data (messages/bookmarks/settings).
You may sign up again with the same Google account afterward, but previous data cannot be recovered.
If you cannot use the App for some reason, email tosca0318@gmail.com and we will process it within 7 days.

7. Security Measures

All communication is encrypted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
Sensitive data such as API keys is used only on the backend (Supabase Edge Functions) and never exposed in the client app.
User data is accessible only to its owner via Supabase Row Level Security (RLS).
Administrative access is limited to a minimal number of people and is logged.

8. Children Under 14

The App does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 14. If such data is found to have been collected, it is deleted immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be amended due to changes in law, policy, or security technology. Any change will be announced in advance through the App's notices or this page.
